Using the tools of our current reality, this session will get us playing together, even when we're socially distant. True Play Improv is guided by LAL: Listen, Agree, and Laugh. In every Improv class, teens engage in imaginative play, igniting creativity and storytelling abilities, while suspending judgment of ourselves and others. All participants will be on their feet communicating: listening actively, sharing attention, and taking turns. Through Improv games we build communication skills, helping teens feel more confident to find their voice no matter the context by using Improv's Golden Rule, "Yes, And".
Description goes hereParticipants will watch clips and read scripts from classic funny sketches. They’ll talk about what makes it funny, and then apply it to their own jokes and ideas! The group will brainstorm, write dialogue, and together create their very own sketch, just like the team does on SNL. Facilitated by an NYC comedian who knows how to make anyone laugh!
